We are excited to welcome new students to the KYVA community! Please note that enrollment caps are in place, and eligibility guidelines require students to have passed with a 65% or higher in the previous school year and not be truant.

Three Ways to Enroll: You Choose

Five Simple Steps to Enroll

Step 1

Access the K12 Enrollment Portal

The K12 Enrollment Portal provides access to your online application to KYVA, along with real-time alerts and quick links to important info.

Step 2

Submit an Application

Once you’ve begun an application in the K12 Enrollment Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child’s information, select KYVA, and hit Submit.

Step 3

Complete the Admissions Process

Things you’ll need:1

  • Discipline records (if any)
  • Your student’s birth certificate
  • Proof of guardianship
  • Proof of residency, such as a utility bill showing your name and address
  • Immunization records or exemption (required for public school enrollment)
  • Preventative Health form (vision and hearing screenings)
  • Student transcripts for grades 9-12 and report card for grades K-8

Eligibility Requirements and Information

Any student in grades K–12 who resides in Kentucky is eligible for full-time enrollment.


While attending KYVA, you must maintain full-time Kentucky residency.
